The Beehive Design Collective is an art-activist collective dedicated to “cross-pollinating the grassroots” by creating collaborative, anti-copyright images for use as educational and organizing tools. Over the past ten years our anti-copyright graphic work has evolved into an innovative educational strategy based on images created by firsthand, grassroots research and shared through storytelling. We strive to work with other popular educators across the hemisphere to make each graphic campaign accessible to a variety of audiences in the Global South and North, connecting as many stories as possible in this literal “big picture” analysis. Through this process, we are committed to creating holistic, accessible, and educational images that inspire critical reflection and strategic action.
Check out a display and presentation by the Beehive Design Collective between 11:30am-12:45pm on Tuesday, April 10th during the Art of Social Justice conference.
