Presenter, Adam Brock

Adam Brock is a Denver native and practitioner of urban permaculture. He is a graduate of NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study with a concentration in Ecological Design, and holds certificates in Permaculture Design and Permaculture Education. He currently serves as Director of Operations at The GrowHaus, a nonprofit indoor farm and food justice center based in a 20,000 square-foot greenhouse in Denver’s Elyria-Swansea neighborhood.

Catch Adam as he discusses Allyship and Invisible Structures at 2:30pm on Thursday and presents as part of the Radical Political Economy panel at the same time the day prior:

“As the logic of growth-based economics reaches its limits, the ground is being prepared for new means of exchange that can regenerate natural and social capital by design. This section of the panel will explore how permaculture, a design science grounded in an understanding of healthy ecosystems, provides a framework for designing local economies that support social justice and community well-being. Adam will outline general principles of these post-capitalist economics, as well as provide specific examples that can be put to use right away.”
